For Shops, Cafés & Makers

Your shop should look as good as what you sell.

Customers decide in seconds whether a product is worth the price — from the label, the bag, the sign over the door and the Instagram grid. We design those pieces as one set, so a two-person chocolate company or a neighbourhood café looks as established as the chain next door.

What a Shop Actually Needs

Eight pieces that do the selling for you.

Most shop owners buy these one at a time from different people, and none of it matches. We design them together — every example below is real client work.

Candy For A Cause

Chocolate melts sold to fund Kamp for Kids. The brief: a label that works across three flavours and future sizes, prints cheaply on a resealable bag, and tells the cause story in one line — “Your purchase helps Kamp for Kids melt away barriers for children with autism.” The scalloped pink mark, the owl from the Kamp for Kids logo and a flavour band that changes colour do the rest.

Pura Vida Java

A coffee brand with a Costa Rican heart. The bean-and-leaf mark was drawn to survive being two inches wide, because that is the size it lives at most of the time — on cup sleeves, laptop stickers, pins and fridge magnets that customers carry out of the door. A set of illustrated coffee artworks feeds the social grid between product posts.

Trinket Trove & The Trove Magazine

Our own wellness store is the proof of concept. One gold ornament mark runs across the shop, the category system — hand-lettered headers for Books, Gifts, Beauty, Bags, Spiritual Jewelry, Energy Tools — and a printed-and-digital magazine, The Trove, that brings readers back to the store. When the store is the client, nothing gets skipped.

The bag is the advertisement.

A printed tote travels further than any flyer. For The Peoples Chamber of Commerce we produced the seal in English and Spanish editions and put it on natural-cotton and polyester totes; for Building Bridges with Hope, a weekender that doubles as fundraising stock. Shop bags are sized, set up for the printer and colour-checked before the first run.

Retail & Service Marks

Logos drawn for the shop window.

A shop mark has to work on an awning, a price tag and a 40-pixel app icon. These do.

How It Works

Built around a shop owner's week.

You are on the floor; you do not have time for a six-week agency process. We keep it short, visual, and on your schedule — and we talk to your printer so you do not have to.

Look

Send your current logo, a photo of the shop and your Instagram. We tell you what is costing you sales.

Scope

We list the pieces you need now and the ones that can wait, with a price against each.

Design

Directions shown on your actual products and shopfront, not on a white slide.

Print

Files set up for your printer's specs; we check proofs before the run.

Keep going

Seasonal labels, new products and promos handled under monthly support.

What would your shelf look like?

Send us a photo of the shop and a link to your Instagram. We will show you — with our compliments — exactly where the brand is losing customers and what it would take to fix it.
